Using scribefire to publish Blogs !

I came across this cool FireFox plugin called ScribeFire for editing and publishing blogs. You dont have to log into your blogs anymore to pubish blogs. Once installed, you can activate this by just clicking the small notepad icon at the right bottom of the browser.

You can download the plugin at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1730.

Also attached is a screenshot as i was editing this post ..

One thing to be careful with such tools that take away the need to visit the host site to publish your contents is that they also get access to your login credentials! Unless it is like for example the online payment gateway offered by many banks for carrying out transactions online where the credentials are submitted at the the host bank Web site only.

Hmm.. Good Point. But then isnt it true of any password saving software? Firefox stores all your passwords to a lot of sites you visit.

Right, it's a matter of trust. You anyway choose to trust your browser for any activity you do on the net--whether the passwords are saved or not. The point is to carefully limit such number of trusted entities. Agreed, it's a personal judgment after all.
